On 11th June 2018, we held our 2nd Cambridge CADASIL meeting, with over 150 people signing up to attend!
We were very lucky to have Dr Saskia Lesnik-Oberstein from Leiden in the Netherlands who gave a special lecture on the potential for gene therapy in CADASIL, which was very exciting to hear about!
We also got an update on CADASIL Support UK, a charity which provides support for all those diagnosed with CADASIL and is also aiming to raise awareness and funds for research. Karen Carter, charity founder, gave a brilliant talk about their progress over the last year and their aims for the future! For more information please visit their website at www.cadasilsupportuk.co.uk
All of the speakers were absolutely brilliant, with particular thanks to Glenn Bate, who gave an inspirational talk on his personal experience of CADASIL and the importance of physical and mental wellbeing.
A report from the event along with the speakers slides and Q&A sessions will be available soon!
