We have recently set-up a tele-medicine clinic for our CADASIL patients. This means that patients can have their follow-up consultations with Professor Hugh Markus over Skype (a video-call), rather than travelling to Addenbrooke’s hospital (Cambridge).
We are trialling this tele-medicine service because many patients have to travel from all over the UK to visit Cambridge in order to see Professor Hugh Markus, and we understand the difficulties associated with this.
The service is being funded for two years by a medical research grant from The Evelyn Trust
