We have a tele-medicine clinic for our CADASIL patients. This means that patients can have their follow-up consultations with Professor Hugh Markus over Skype (a video-call), rather than travelling to Addenbrooke’s hospital (Cambridge). We still recommend that initial appointments at the CADASIL clinic take place in person.
When you are offered a follow-up appointment the CADASIL clinic secretary, Kate Rose will ask if you would like to have future telemedicine appointments. Please find Kate's contact details below:
01223 256349 or kate.rose4@nhs.net .
We are grateful to The Evelyn Trust for funding the evaluation of the telemedicine service prior to its successful adoption into our routine NHS practice.
The Evelyn Trust reviewed our telemedicine service in a previous newsletter. You can read this article here.
